A Sweet Christmas Novella

I had heard of Melody Carlson's Christmas novella's before--a sweet love story set at Christmastime, what could be better? Now that I've read A Christmas in the Alps, I think this may need to become a yearly tradition! 

A Christmas in the Alps centers around Simone Winthrop, a girl who's been focused on providing for others for so long, she's never really lived or gone on an adventure. When she discovers a note from her French great-grandma mentioning a long lost treasure, her adventure truly begins. Along the way, she meets some interesting characters, including Kyle Larson, wannabe watchmaker. 

If the idea of a family secret unravelling in the Alps at Christmastime sounds wonderful to you, you'll want to pick up this book!

I really liked the setting of the story, and watching Simone learn more about her family was fun to watch. Not to mention--the story was pretty sweet. Plus, it makes for a great holiday getaway to a magical town in France!
