Take a Trip to Montovia This Christmas

Honestly, this time of year I just love snuggling under a blanket with a cozy book. As it starts to get darker early, it feels like the perfect antidote is a good read. And...even better if that book is seasonally-themed!

I am so thankful that Melody Carlson releases a Christmas novella each year. It's become a tradition for me and something I really look forward to devouring. Her stories always hit the right notes, and A Royal Christmas is no different.

This story centers on Adelaide Smith, a 20-something working her way through law school and trying to keep ahead of her difficult circumstances. One day, she receives the surprise of her life--she is a Princess and is called to the beautiful country of Montovia.

First, I loved exploring the beautiful (unfortunately fictional) Montovia with Adelaide--the opulent palace, cute village, and feel-good cultural traditions. And I also loved "being there" at Christmastime.

But one thing did surprise me about this book. Yes, it was cute and fun...but there was some real intrigue! Rather than a completely predictable story, I enjoyed the excitement it had to offer as well.

Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
