Crab Apples

Walking past a crab apple tree tonight, I couldn't help but wonder at what I could do with the fruit. While they are great ornamentals, and make pretty dried decorations, the fruit often goes to the birds.

After a little bit of research, I found some pretty cool recipes online.
Crab Apple Hot Pepper Jelly
Easy Homeade Crab Apple Juice
Crab Apple Relish
Crab Apple Bread
Crab Apple Sorbet

It looks like crab apple trees are not just pretty, but useful, too! Have you tried any of these recipes? Or have any other crab apple tips to share?

Booksneeze Review: Cherished

I loved this book. Focusing on Kelli London, a talented songwriter who has to face her past in order to move forward, and Heather Anderson, an aspiring musician with a rough past, this book shows readers God's gift of forgiveness.

Kim Cash Tate creates characters that are so real--they all have made mistakes and are astoundingly human and relatable--yet, they can do incredible things when they accept God's love.

The plot of this story is not necessarily mysterious or deeply intertwined, but the character development is perfect, and the authour weaves together a story that will take the reader on a journey. There was never a point when I was reading this book when I wanted to put it down--I had to read at least a chapter every single day until it was finished.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a good read, and especially anyone who is feeling guilty about their past, or not good enough for God--this book is a perfect reminder of God's unfailing love …

Booksneeze Review: Stumbling Into Grace

I absolutely loved this book. Lisa Harper writes in a humourous-yet-poignant style, creating a fun and spiritually-uplifting book.

Harper starts her chapters or lessons with a fun, heartfelt story. She then ties the applicable situation to a biblical passage; something Jesus said or did. The lesson concludes with some questions and a prayer.

I would definitely recommend this must-read book to any woman looking for a fun way to spend time with God. I couldn't stop reading it the first time through, and I want to read it all over again (and savour it a bit more) now! This book would make a perfect gift, and I'd also recommend it for a woman's small group series.
