A Perfect Pet for Peyton - Fantastic Telling of 5 Love Languages for Children

A Perfect Pet for Peyton is a very fun children's book with a great lesson--I would have adored it as a kid and I know the kids in my life will treasure it as well. A few things especially made this book stand out as a keeper:

1. Bright, exciting illustrations
2. Use of fun, kid-friendly font, complete with color
3. Activities on most pages (i.e., "Can you find these things?" "Spot the ____.")
4. The 5 Love Languages in a way that's digestible for kids

Besides the fun, engaging side of the book, the ultimate lesson is a good one. I think younger children will enjoy the "I Spy" aspect and colorful illustrations while an older child will learn a lot from the story about their own love languages. Kids will be able to catch on and be eager to learn what their own love language is (which is also great for parents!).

I also liked the extras with the book--it includes a 5 Love Languages quiz at the end and a free app that kids will really enjoy and love to play after reading the story.

This is definitely a classic to include on your shelf that your kids will open over and over again.
