Book Review: The Miner's Lady by Tracie Peterson

What do you get when you put together two Italian families, a decades-old feud, and iron-mining in the 1890s?

A pretty good read, that's what.

The Miner's Lady centers on Chantel Panetta, who initially is just trying to keep her sister from marrying a sworn enemy--a Calarco. But when she meets the elder Calarco brother, she understands her sister's predicament. The big question is--will the hatred between the Panettas and Calarcos be resolved?

If you like historical romance novels with a good amount of action, I'd recommend this book. I found it enjoyable; however, I found it a bit unbelievable. While the story was exciting and always had something around the bend, it ended up having so much that I became sceptical and lost my connection with the families.

Overall, The Miner's Lady is a worth reading, and I'd recommend if you enjoy the genre.
