Adventure in the Alaskan Wilderness

The basic premise is this: two former flames, Echo Yazzie and Dodge Kingston, are reunited under dire circumstances. Dodge, after a decade hiatus from Sky King Ranch, is back in Alaska, using his expert Air Force experience to fly for his family business. Echo, on the other hand, never left town - she's settled in as a dogsledder and homesteader alongside her Dad. Incidents force Echo to venture out into the Alaskan wilderness, until she's in too deep. The best person to perform a search and rescue? Dodge, of course. 

Susan May Warren sure knows how to throw readers headlong into a tale. I think a real strength of Warren's writing is her character development. I can always feel attached to the characters (and their supporting ensemble) within the first few chapters. And I felt immersed in Alaska while reading - mountains, dogsledding, bears - it was the perfect winter read. 

I've said it before, but I'll say it again - I devour Susan May Warren's books. The pairing of adventure and romance draws me right in! The good news is, with Warren, you never have to wait too long for the next release! Sunburst, the next chapter to the Sky King Ranch series, is out in June!
