Encouraging and Thought-Provoking

Heaven is a bit of a tricky subject. I mean, it's HEAVEN. It's hard to understand in and of itself—and there are so many polarizing opinions. There's a lot of information out there, but not all of it is trustworthy. 

Dr. Robert Jeffress is a prolific writer on things like this, and this A Place Called Heaven devotional is a bite-size breakdown of the topics in his book called A Place Called Heaven. I like the devotional aspect because it keeps the subject matter top-of-mind (for 100 days!) but also allows you to soak in some of the material at a time. 

Each of the 100 devotions starts with scripture, has about one and a half pages of material, has a few reflection questions, and closes with a short prayer. 

For those who might feel discouraged about their understanding of heaven, this devotional will help. I found it encouraging and thought-provoking, and it had me picking up my Bible to better understand some of the things Dr. Jeffress was talking about. While I didn't always agree with the teaching, it did help me consider my stance and dig into the Bible to better understand things.
