Let God Work Through the Prayers in this Book

Chances are, if you're a praying person, you've prayed for a friend or family member. Maybe you pray often. Maybe every day. Maybe, if you're like me, you want to pray more but sometimes you just don't know how.

Well, I'm so glad I found Powerful Prayers for your Son. This book offers readers 77 different prayers for all sorts of topics that might be heavy on your heart, but you don't know how to pray about it. Some of the ones that caught my eye were "When He's Becoming Mature," "When He's Critical of Others," and "When He Has Work to Do." (The Teigens really thought of everything!) Each prayer topic begins with a few suitable Bible verses (where better to look for strength and help than the Word!) and callouts with anecdotes and stories that are very relatable.

I wish more books like this existed. Sometimes I am reading a prayer and find it suits beautifully to someone else in my life - so I just adjust the wording a little bit and pray for that person as well!

The prayers just seem to hit spot on for what I am feeling. For instance, I know my son is struggling with some friendships, so I turned to the appropriate prayer. Instead of feeling like I did the perfect thing and it was all better, I realized that I needed some growth and through the prayer, I realized that I was hanging on to things that didn't make the situation easier for my son. God works through this book!
