Trade Brokenness for Meaning with this 60-day Devotional

Ever since I read One Thousand Gifts (Ann Voskamp's New York Times Bestseller), I've enjoyed--and devoured--her writing. She has a poetic style of prose that is a bit dreamy; rich words that need to be carefully consumed.

When I saw her new devotional, The Way of Abundance, I knew I'd like it before I opened it. The soft cover mirrors the content inside--content from The Broken Way and Ann's online blog make up this 60-day journey.

The Way of Abundance is separated into 6 parts, unpacking brokenness in exchange for meaning. It's meant to be a journey, from "How can the brokenhearted keep going?" to "How do the brokenhearted get to love?" Each 2-4 page passage begins with a Bible verse and ends with about questions to get you thinking and applying the lesson to your life.

This devotional-style book is like a 60-day commitment where readers identify with Ann's prose and spend time with God. The reflection time at the end of each chapter really encourages readers to dig deeply and apply wisdom to their lives.

I love how Ann cuts through to the heart of the matter (sometimes with a perspective so holy that it hurts because I'm so far from it). I can think of so many who need to read this book and I'm so glad I came upon it.
