A Truly Exciting Adventure in Africa

Whew. Now this was quite an adventure! 

So, I devoured this book... I just couldn't stop reading. I loved the setting. I loved the fast pace. I loved the relationship. 

Sunburst, the latest from Susan May Warren, is a whirlwind adventure that will keep you on your toes. We meet Ranger Kingston—former Navy SEAL and all-around good, but reserved, guy—in the first pages. He might have a thing for this beautiful woman named Noemi Sutton—not reserved, gorgeous, and fun. 

Fast forward and these two have followed separate paths. When the story picks up, we find that Noemi has been captured by the Boko Haram terrorists and Ranger ends up a rescuer. They sure have a lot of obstacles to get out alive...not to mention that small situation regarding their relationship history. 

Susan May Warren's books have always been exciting, but I especially loved the departure of environments that this book offers. Sometimes the subject matter was a little intense, but there was enough humor to balance it out. 

And... can I just say how much I loved Noemi? She was such a captivating character; so impulsive, fun, and smart. I sure hope she makes many more appearances in this series. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness that Susan May Warren gave to different cultures in the book—it was fun for me to learn so much as a reader and feel immersed in a completely new place!

As always, I cannot wait for the next book in the series. The end of this book had me salivating with anticipation—what a cliffhanger! Thank goodness Susan May Warren is such a prolific writer and Sundown (#3) will be out later this year!
