Cute Story with Great Characters

What a cute story! Any fans of You’ve Got Mail? Or...basically any story with star-crossed leads?

Enter Tacos for Two. The premise: not-quite-a-natural chef, Rory, is struggling to run her deceased aunt’s food truck business. A highlight on the side is her correspondence (via dating app) with a handsome suitor, albeit fairly anonymous.

Jude, of the Worthington family crest, is trying to shake off his family position and expectations and actually follows his passion of cooking. When a food truck competition strikes, it’s Jude’s only chance to break free. He is so thankful for this connection with mysterious dating app girl, who encourages him just when he needs it most.

Unfortunately, Rory and Jude both want the same thing—the food truck competition crown. Also, fortunately, they want the same thing, but they don’t know it yet—love.

As you can imagine, it’s a lot of fun, watching this story unfold. I felt immersed in the world of the story and loved getting to know our hero and heroine. St Amant does a great job weaving personality into this story.

I definitely recommend for any You’ve Got Mail fans—there are a few nods to the tried and true story—but I think anyone who appreciates a fun (and sometimes backwards) journey to love would enjoy this book.
