Hunker Down for This Gripping Romance!

If you've ever read any of my other posts on this blog, you'll know by now that I am a huge Susan May Warren fan. Her stories are so gripping and exciting with a healthy measure of romance thrown in.

I devoured The Way of the Brave, Warren's first book in the Global Search and Rescue trilogy (which, by the way, is not nearly enough books for this series!). I have to admit I was really looking forward to The Heart of a Hero; Jake and Aria's introduction in the first book had me so keen to see what would happen to them. 

And I wasn't disappointed! The Heart of a Hero picks up where the romance leaves off in the first book, with a little self-reflection for our main characters before an intense whirlwind of an adventure in a Category 4 hurricane. I won't give it all away for you, but hunker down and prepare to not be able to put it down!

I love how much depth Warren puts into her characters; Jake and Aria both carry burdens from their past that intersect in creative ways. I always find it easy to relate to her characters; they have relatable struggles and the couple may have differences, but can grow closer to God and closer to eachother through life's adventure together. 

Of course, as in all her books, Susan May Warren has me anxiously waiting for the next release of The Price of Valor in October 2020. Prepare to get drawn further in to Ham's adventure as well in The Heart of a Hero!
