The crux of this book is exactly what it sounds like--addressing common lies women believe and countering them with the truth. 45 lies are outlined in all, along with these truths.

Each chapter has a fictional (but very relatable entry) from Eve (who believed the first lie...) and then digs into 3-6 lies to unpack and why women think in a certain way. I guarantee there are lies in this book that you will identify with. Throughout the chapters, Bible verses are called out as well as personal stories from women that have struggled with these issues. At the end of the chapters, readers have a handy summary of the lie that is discussed, as well as the truth that aligns to it (with a pile of Bible verses to offer proof!).

Every area of life is addressed in this book; lies about God, ourselves, marriage, children, emotions, and more. Chapter after chapter, I kept having revelations and thinking, "Wow, these are things I need to change!" These are issues women can certainly relate with and, more importantly, need to be freed from.

The book ends with a powerful "countering lies with the truth" section that summarizes all lessons in the book, creating a solid reference for readers to come back to when they are struggling. I'm so glad to have an updated copy as well--this version addresses items related to technology and sexuality that weren't as prevalent in the time of the original edition.
