Song of the Stars - Beautiful and Sweet

Sally Lloyd-Jones is a proven children's author--I have thoroughly enjoyed her other work, so I knew I was in good hands with this book.

The basis of the Song of the Stars tale is the Christmas story. On every page, eager, adorable animals burst with anticipation.

The artwork attracted me to the book; the words kept my attention. I loved everything about this book--the carefully chosen words; the cute, tubby, and friendly animals; the layout of the art and text; and the detail on every page. Readers can spend time slowly exploring the picture before flipping the page.

Song of the Stars is definitely a book to keep out for the Christmas season. I will be keeping an eye out for other books by Lloyd-Jones. So far I love all of her work.
