A Most Inconvenient Marriage - Fun and Fluffy

Cover ArtRegina Jennings is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine with her wild tales, witty storytelling, and fun characters. A Most Inconvenient Marriage does not break the mold.

What's the scoop? It's the civil war. Abigail Stuart--off the cuff--marries her patient, a terminally wounded soldier named Jeremiah Calhoun. The deal is that she gets the rights to his farm (having no family or land of her own) and he gets peace knowing his ailing sister will be cared for.

Turns out Jeremiah Calhoun wasn't the man, and turns out Abigail needs to find a good reason why she is there and what she is going to do about it.

What I liked? True to form, Jennings' characters find themselves in all sorts of sticky situations. Abigail is a sassy, confident heroine who is easy to cheer for. The real Jeremiah Calhoun is a bit rough around the edges, but a man through and through. The story is fun and exciting, and great if you are a fan of historical romance.
