Caught in the Middle - Book Review

A roaring tale of adventure, filled with orphan children, guns, and a buffalo hunter. Oh, and the buffalo hunter is a woman. (Sweet!)

Anne Tillerton, our heroine, is like no other. She's lovable in her buffalo hunting garb and lovable as a hurt, tender woman. Pair her with Nicholas Lovelace--suave entrepreneur--and you get a lot of sparks (both romantically and argumentatively). Throw a neglected baby in the mix and, well, you'll have to read it to find out.

Jennings certainly does a fine job transporting her reader back in time, but the real key to this story is the journey the characters take. You'll identify in some way with them and learn from Nick and Anne's experience. I won't give it all away, but I liked how the characters had to find their path and healing in God, not in eachother.

If the rest of the series is anything like this book, I'm going to have to read it. Start to finish, Caught in the Middle is exciting, romantic, and refreshing.
