Warm, Easy to Understand Devotions to Keep you Grounded in Faith

Billy Graham. Who hasn't heard that name? I've been wanting to pick up this devotional for a while, knowing Billy Graham to be an easy-to-understand, Godly evangelical.

With Billy Graham's recent passing, the words in this devotional are even more significant. Billy Graham has left a legacy, and I'm glad his words have been captured in writing, including this daily devotional.

Hope for Each Day is a 365-day devotional based on hope. Each day features a title, a short Bible verse, and then a thoughtful, short passage unpacking the topic. It concludes with a callout box with "Hope for Today," offering an encouraging thought, question, or prayer suggestion to apply to your life.

All devotions speak to the hope we have in God--an especially encouraging message in today's times. Devotions are short one-pagers, making this book a simple daily read to add to your routine.

I really like Billy Graham's style of writing--it's warm and friendly and easy to understand. This is also a nice looking book for your bedside table or at the family dinner table; it has a softbound, brown leather-look cover and comes with a ribbon marker, gift presentation page, and space for devotional thoughts at the end.

This devotional has been popular for a while, but this edition is a large, deluxe edition. The content, as far as I can tell, remains the same as the original. Scripture is generally quoted in NKJV (and noted when from a different translation).

This would be a great devotional to give to someone struggling with hope--whether an illness or an elderly person. The soft feel and larger-sized print make it especially accessible for those who might find it difficult to read other books.

Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
