Dashing Dish - Full of Scrumptious, Inspiring Recipes

I'm so glad I discovered this cookbook and, with it, Katie Farrell. I have huge respect for her (age 24 with her own book!) and, because of her experiences with food, this cookbook goes a lot deeper than just recipes. She comes across as an old friend sharing some great recipes.

The Dashing Dish has some tips and an overview at the start, then recipes organized by meal--breakfast, lunch, dinner, side dishes, snacks, and desserts.

This cookbook is loaded with clean eating--healthy, interesting recipes; most of which are sugar-free and gluten-free (and can be adapted as needed--she includes a handy conversion chart).

What makes a good cookbook great?
1. Photographs with every single recipe (YES!)
2. Healthy, feasible recipes (ingredients I have and can pronounce!)
3. Things I actually am excited to try (see below)

Favorites include:
-Brownie for One in Minutes
-Skinny Pizza Rolls
-Zucchini Tots
-Apple Bacon Feta Turkey Sliders
-Slow Cooker Chicken Corn Chowder
-Giant Breakfast Cookie

I definitely recommend this book for those looking to find the balance--as Katie says--between physical health and spiritual health. It's a keeper and a great resource to get healthy. I'm so glad this was one of the first reads to start off my new year.
