Let There Be Light - One to Treasure

Pair whimsical illustrations with the creation story, and what do you get? A children's storybook you will treasure for a long time.

A large, hardcover book makes Let There Be Light kid-friendly, with artwork that will make them stop and wonder. The book begins with a dedication page, which I appreciated (you can put a date for when you present it to your little one). Next, there is an introduction from Archbishop Desmond Tutu and illustrator Nancy Tillman. Then the story begins. It is a retelling of the age-old creation story, beautifully and poetically written. One thing I especially liked about this book was its emphasis on love (meaningful for even adults!).

These simple, deeply meaningful words (written in a way children will understand) paired with the stunning artistry will capture children's attention and imagination. Kids of all ages will adore the magical, colourful illustrations and want to look through the book over and over again. It's a keeper.
